Getting Started
Kit Assembly
To get started with the AXON-PI-IMX8M-MINI, you can start by following the steps in this Quick Install Guide. Most of the steps are self-explanatory for developers that are familiar with assembling embedded hardware. This will show you the correct way to attach the display and camera.
Software Development
AXON-PI-IMX8M-MINI out of the box is loaded with the TechNexion Software Loader (TSL). At power-up, when the kit is connected to an Ethernet network with internet access, the TSL will enable you to download and install a selection of tested demonstration software images to your board, making out of the box evaluation a simpler process.
The TSL is a GUI-driven program, so a 5-inch MIPI-DSI display must be connected for it to be used.
Yocto
AXON-PI-IMX8M-MINI is supported by an implementation of OpenEmbedded/Yocto Project managed by TechNexion, which allows you to build a custom embedded Linux distribution for your product. Please visit see our articles regarding Yocto project development.
