Introduction
This article is an overview of the different evaluation kits available for the AXON series of System-on-Modules. (SoMs).
There are two different kits to assist our customers with evaluation and prototying with each our AXON series modules, depending on the features that you need. They are differentiated based on the type of baseboard that comes with the kit.
Kits based on the AXON-PI baseboard (AXON-PI-IMX8M-MINI and AXON-PI-IMX8M-PLUS) are smaller, less expensive, and have fewer features. However, they have a similar form-factor to Raspberry Pi Model B, and are compatible with many readily-available HATs.
Kits based on AXON-WIZARD (AXON-WIZARD-IMX8M-MINI and AXON-WIZARD-IMX8M-PLUS) are larger, and have the fullest set of features to allow you to utilize all of the module interfaces.

Note Regarding Power for AXON-WIZARD
When powering AXON-WIZARD with 5V (either via USB Type C or via the 40-pin expansion connector, it is not possible to use peripherals that require 12V such as external LVDS displays or VizionLink modules.
